Easter Keisters

Today was cold and windy here in New Jersey, not exactly Easter weather. The Bunny still managed to make it to our house though, and drop off some baskets for our good girls.

The dresses I had planned for the girls to wear were just TOO springy for this freezing day - fortunately I remembered these adorable pale pink velveteen pantsuits a friend had given the girls for their birthday.... and even MORE fortunately, they still fit!

First we visited Daddy who, as is the norm on all holidays lately, was working at the firehouse...

Then off to Grandma's for Easter lunch and an Easter Egg Hunt!

I was impressed the girls seemed to grasp the whole 'egg hunt' concept right away. Charlotte started picking up eggs as soon as she walked in. Once they realized there was CANDY inside the eggs though, the whole game changed.... Katie ate whatever she found inside, mostly bright pink marshmallow peeps. Charlotte was much more discerning and ONLY wanted the eggs with the chocolate bunnies inside. She would find an egg, open it and if it contained anything other than chocolate THROW it across the room and run to the next egg....

Charlotte on her chocolate hunt.

Katie, content with anything made of sugar!

There was also some bribing with cupcakes and frosting to try and get a picture in the Easter Bonnets....

so basically much more sugar was consumed by these two today than in all of their previous 18 months combined. The SUGAR CRASH... it was ugly.

But still, a nice Easter. Hope everyone had a wonderful day!

Happy Easter!!!

So cute! And thank you for giving your girls junk food and candy and not being afraid to admit it! Most people are appalled that I let my kids have sugar and don't hesitate to tell me so! =)

Happy Easter to you and your family. It was way too cold here today.

Love the pants suits!

And of course the girls and sugar. What girl doesn't like sugar!

Looks like you had a fun Easter!

I love pics of your girls and adore the way you dress them. I like to think I'm fashionable but my poor baby girl might disagree...

Love your blog!

That is what Easter is all about - eating as much easter candy as you can. The girls are getting so big and they both looked so cute in their pink pant outfits. It was also very cold on this side of the state. Happy Easter to you all.

You did manage to pull off the bonnet picture!!! The girls are adorable as always. Love the pant suits!!! I can feel for you with PJ having to work the holidays, I usually do too...the medical field stinks in that aspect. But fortunately the girls were able to visit Daddy at work!! Hope your Easter was great!!!

Oh my lord, they are ridiculously cute in those pantsuits! I love them! It's funny to see them dressed alike, though, you almost never do that, do you? They usually just coordinate.

Looks like a great Easter!
