Beautiful Day

It's not exactly a beautiful day here at our house, because Katie is really sick. Her cough is awful. We went to the doctors yesterday and he put her on some pretty serious antibiotics - hopefully they help soon.

But for America it is truly a wondeful, beautiful AMAZING day. Anyone who knows me in real life knows I am politically very opinionated and pretty passionate about it all. I have tried to leave politics out of this blog (though it's been tough) but today, I have to just say, I feel so moved, and awed by this country. For eight long years (since Gore was robbed, FYI.... :) I have waited and waited, and waited. And today, I feel like I can finally breathe.

** If you want the book, and it is very cute, I got ours here - actually, Santa brought them.... you know Santa's a Democrat, right? ;) **

I completely agree! I've been watching the inauguration TV coverage with my 8th graders today. LOVED Obama's speech...thought it was very heartfelt.

LOVE the book! Where can I get one?? :)

I've been reading your blog since last summer ~ I read a lot of other blogs and for some reason most of them ( not all, but a lot) are written by republicans who aren't too thrilled with our new president. It is a wonderful day for our country and it was nice to see that acknowledged in one of "my" blogs!

It was a wonderful speech. You should head over to thewhitehouse.gov ~ it's great! Change is here!

I am a republican and I am glad for the change; however, I am also glad that Gore was robbed ;) Your girls are super sweet.

I don't know, Lala looks a little skeptical reading that book. Maybe she's a secret Republican? Heehee.

another beautiful day....today at the State Department President Obama and Sec. of State Clinton rededicated our country to the pursuit of PEACE. The power of the words....diplomacy, respect, understanding, compassion, service. Patriotism not based on our strength of arms, but through our great ability as a country and as people of liberty to pursue the greater good.....no matter how difficult or how long it may take. Beautiful, beautiful day.....

Thanks to Obama tax payer money will now be helping to pay for abortions in other countries. Next in the US. Yes, it truly is a beautiful day. Let's pray for all the little children. A very sad mother.

That was a beautiful day, yes. And I love the books - and your girls are so adorable.

Let us blue staters have their moment. We've lived in your Nazi-like nation for the last eight years.
