I'm sorry it's taken me so long to post! The outing on Monday was really wonderful. Everyone said they had a great time, the golf course was beautiful, the weather held out, and we raised a LOT of money for Jack's fund.
I owe a million thank you's to so many people - thank you to everyone who helped, everyone who donated, everyone who thought of us on Monday, thought of Jack, sent a little prayer. Thank you thank you thank you!! I am still in awe of how much support, help and LOVE we received through all this. And how much love there is for Jack, still, always. Thank you.
It was Jack's day, for me, ultimately. It was about golf and a good time and prizes and raffles and raising money for other children but in my heart, it was about Jack. While it didn't rain, it was gray and cold most of the day, and I kept thinking, where's the sun? Come on Jack... send us some sun!! And then, right at the end, just as his Dad's group was finishing up their 18 holes... slowly the blue started creeping across the sky. The sun started shining through the gray and it was beautiful. It was better than a sunny day - a sunny day would have been too easy!! LOL
One of the Nesties was on her way to the golf course that morning with her husband, and took these photos on the road very near the course.... how beautiful are they? Hello Jack...
It was an emotional day. I wish I could have said something at the dinner, talked about Jack a little but I just couldn't. I feel like that is my goal for next year - to be able to stand up and talk about my Jack without totally losing it. Our special guest was Evan, the little boy who did the toy drive earlier this year in Jack's memory. We were so thrilled he was able to come (along with his very sweet mom) - I hope he had a good time. He is a wonderful, kind boy - who gave my girls a present that they LOVE - Katie has not put them down since - MARACAS!!
Thank you Evan! We love them!
I don't have many pics yet, but when I get them I promise to post a link. I didn't get a chance to take one single picture myself, of course. It was a busy, crazy day. Here's a few my friend (and volunteer... lol) Liz took - thanks Liz!
Gray skies over the clubhouse and then..... hello blue!
Me, Lala and our posse (and some of our amazing volunteers) and then with Evan:

And my very styling sister in law (with Charlotte, yet again... where was Katie?? :)
Thank you all again, for everything. This is truly just the beginning - now we have to start using this money, giving it out to children and their families. Keeping Jack's love and hope and bravery going and going and going.....

I'm sure Jack was watching, so proud of his wonderful, brave, giving family. You're doing such a wonderful thing with your grief. It's truly amazing.
I'm so glad things turned out for you! It looks like everyone had a great time.
We lost our little one last week and I saw a rainbow a few days ago and completely lost it. I love getting signs like those!
I thought about all of you all day Monday and was so anxious to hear about the day. Sounds like a great time was had by all and you know Jack was looking down upon you with a huge smile on his face. Keep up the great work in Jack's memory.
Hooray! I am so pleased that things turned out perfectly. And the rainbow at the beginning of the day---what a special symbol for you little boy. Hugs!
Leave it to sweet Jack to send you a rainbow! I am so glad to hear the day went well. I was thinking about you guys that day and couldn't wait to hear about it:)
It was truly a great day. I think Jack waited for his sisters to arrive at the club so they could bring the sunshine all together. I'm so happy we could be part of Jack's day.

I've been following your blog for a while now and have posted a few comments along the way but just wanted to let you know that I'm so happy everything went well with the golf tournament. I thought about you and your family all day.
I also wanted to let you know that Jacks photo on your main page always brings a smile to my face. He truly is the guardian angel looking over his sisters and family.
The rainbow pics gave me chills. Jack was there all day, I just know he was. What you are doing is an amazing thing and I know Jack is looking down on you and he is so proud of you, proud that you are making sure he will never be forgotten. Proud you are helping others in his memory.
God Bless Jack. Rest in Peace sweet one.
