Nostalgia

I am feeling so nostalgic the last few days. A year ago this week it all started - I went from thinking i was weeks away from giving birth to being put in the hospital and delivering the babies two days later.

No one and nothing can prepare for parenthood, whether you're having one child or six. You can think you're ready, think you know what it will be like, but you don't. You have no clue. No idea how hard it will be, and how wonderful it will be, sometimes all at once. The past year has been both the most wonderful and most absolutely horrible of my entire life.

Fortunately, life is much more good than bad lately. My almost one year old girls, they are pure joy.

What two beautiful happy girls you have. Can not believe I have been following your journey for almost a year already. God Bless you and your family and God Bless little angel Jack.

OMG the girls are precious. And they're ahead of my preemie (34,4) that, at nearly 14 months, STILL isn't walking. WAY TO GO GIRLS!

The girls are just so beautiful. I can't believe they are almost one. Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday I came to your blog reading about your amazing babies and praying so hard for Jack.

I know this time of year will be hard for you. The first three years after Makily was born I struggled terribly with her birthdays.....remembering all the near death experiences, hearing the doctors diagnose her, wondering if she would live. That never leaves you but thankfully it will get easier.....time is the only thing that helps and even then.....it's like an open wound.

Thinking of you.
