Prison Break

Life right now is really crazy ... in the next month we have Jack's Golf Tournament and the babies first birthday party, then Halloween right after that, and just the every day insanity of life with two almost 11 month olds, who are going through a phase where they must be near me at ALL TIMES. If I dare to leave them in baby jail (even with Daddy) this is what happens:

Hysterics.

Speaking of my beloved baby gates, to add to the chaos, we had an

ESCAPE FROM BABY JAIL.

That's right. I knew it had to happen sooner or later.

The escapee:

Katie
Also goes by Special K, Vitamin K, Jelly

The accomplice:

Charlotte
Also goes by LaLa, Vitamin C and Boss

So I'm sitting on the couch, minding my own business, when I hear giggling... which sounds strangley CLOSE... i can almost feel the breath on my neck, smell the distinct aroma of waffles and Similac.... I turn around and come face to face with...

Katie.

Yeah, just chillin' up here, watching Good Morning America with you....

Hey, let me climb over and have some of that delicious Cookie Crisp Cereal I see you enjoying....

(no photos of actual break-out due to me having to drop the camera and grab Katie).

The problem was temporarily solved by removing the toy box from baby jail which she was climbing up on...

But honestly, it's just a matter of time before they figure another way out. They are really just days away from walking. And they truly do work as a team - I already think they're cooking up a scheme that involves maybe Charlotte climbing over Katie's back.

The other morning while they were in their cribs waiting for Mommy to wake up and come get them, CHARLOTTE managed to squeeze her scrawny arm through the bars of her bed and remove a gigantic screw from KATIE'S crib. I know it's part of a plot...

"Listen, I'll reach through the bars and dismantle your crib, when you're free, you break me out, then we head straight for the Fruity Cheerios, not those crappy plain ones she's always trying to stick us with....."

"Uh, okay Boss... got it!"

Oh boy.

Oh so funny! What will they think of next! Yeah you will have to be putting away the baby gates within the next few months because they will be able to climb out of those no problems. Very Cute! Love the way you have it all documented with the expressions from the girls!

I am laughing so hard. I thought my twins were the only ones plotting against me.

Have not tried the fruitty cheerios...they enjoy the plain ones so much...

Thanks for the advice about not putting toy box in baby jail...will keep that in mind if I can convince the hubby to get the huge dining room table out of the dining room.

My oldest (6) gets down on the floor on her hands and knees and lets the other two (4 and 2) climb on her bach to reach things. Also if the stool is missing from the bathroom she will do this so they can brush their teeth. It's amazing what these little people will do to get what they want. Your girls are absolutely gorgeous!

OMG thank you so much for a great laugh! I needed it. They are getting so big and adorable! I swear they get cuter every day!
We always say that our one is the one that will think up the plans and the other will be the one to carry them out. The thinker and the enforcer!

The scary part is - they probably really do think like that and have a planning session during the night. How do they learn those little thoughts in their little heads? They are too precious - how could you get mad at them :)
