Easter Bear

Ack, where have I been??

Like it or not, here’s a very late Easter recap.

Easter was nice.   The family came over our house, the girls ate WAY too much Easter candy (and I’m still eating way too much Easter candy).  Eggs were colored and hunted.  Pretty dresses and silly bonnets were worn.  The weather was beautiful.

And JoJo the Easter Bear stopped by.

What, you don’t know JoJo?

JoJo is what happens when your Dad has a giant bear costume laying around upstairs.  PJ decided very spur of the moment to put it on Easter morning and surprise the girls.

SURPRISE!!

No surprise that Katie was terrified (Charlotte wasn’t much better but she was cowering behind me so didn’t get in any pictures.)

PJ took the head off and showed them it was just Daddy inside but I’m not sure that didn’t actually make things worse.  Because now all Katie talks about is how Daddy has a bear suit.  Every person she’s come in contact with over the last week she’s told (or more like warned) that her Daddy has a bear suit.  First thing she asks PJ when he comes home from work is “Daddy, where’s your bear suit?”, checking to make sure it’s not making another appearance.  And Charlotte always chimes in with “It's scary!”

Poor JoJo.  He meant well.

OMG, I had such fear of the easter bunny growing up. If that thing had come out at me, I'd have had much the same reaction as your poor baby girl!

And why exactly does your husband have a bear suit? LOL thats hysterical

I can't stop laughing about Jo Jo the Bear showing up for Easter and the fact that your girls will never let daddy live that one down! So funny!

I stumbled across your blog and found this post hysterical. I don't know your family, but this entry is priceless (I say that as I sit at my cubicle in Birmingham, Al laughing my little head off.)

Many prayers to you and your family.
