My Katie

I am a bad blogger (and bad Mommy...taking so long to write about Katie!) I've been busy, with things like this. I'm sorry. Plus the space bar sticks on my laptop thanks to my darling daughters, making typing really really difficult.

Anyway, on to sweet Katie.

Katie (also known as my Katie-girl)

Loves: puddles, sprinklers, trampolines, books, snacks, dolls, stuffed animals.... pretty much everything

YAY Trampoline!

Favorite Foods: donuts (she recognizes the Dunkin Donuts box... not good), hot dogs, broccoli in cheese sauce, lemons, ice cubes, watermelon, yogurt, cookies.... pretty much everything

Katie enjoying her favorite snack, a lemon

Favorite TV Show: probably Backyardigans though she also loves Wubbzy and Dora

Favorite Place: the Pool or Beach. Katie is my fish. She loves the water and honestly believes she can swim. When we go to the town pool both girls will play in the kiddie pool for a while, then inevitably Charlotte runs off to the little playground and Katie beelines for the big pool. She will put her face in the water, blow bubbles, kick her legs, float in her tube and do it all day.

Also enjoys buckles (freaking buckles, my kids are obsessed), pushing the buttons on the air conditioners, hugging and kissing everything, Ring Around the Rosie, stacking and sorting toys, pianos, dancing, and her binky

Katie is my sunshine. There is something about her that is so 'little girl', if that makes any sense. While Charlotte has a very impish side to her, Katie is really pure sweetness (not an angel mind you, she can throw a wicked tantrum).

Katie loves Mommy, she is a mama's girl through and through. She loves to walk along side me holding onto my legs, she greets me every time I enter the room like she hasn't seen me in months.

Katie and Mommy

She walks around all day patting people and things, and laying her head on them to show she loves them. And I mean everything - food, toys, even this big bird statue we have in our dining room. If she loves her cookie, she holds it up to her cheek and pats it.

Putting her head on LaLa's hands, which is Katie for "i love you."

She can be shy until she warms up to you. She is more of a talker than Charlotte - which may explain why Charlotte doesn't say as much. Katie always answers for her. Her favorite word is 'thanks' said with a little lisp. She thanks everyone for everything. She also likes to give a very definite YESSSS! to things.

Katie says thanks (please disregard my messy kitchen.... we were about to have a yard sale).

She loves her binky, her stuffed doggie and sleeping, much more than LaLa does. I think Katie would take longer naps and sleep later in the morning if Charlotte wasn't jumping up and down in her bed and babbling at her. I can't tell you how many mornings I've walked in to find Katie crying with nothing in her crib and Charlotte jumping up and down in hers, holding Katie's dog, chomping on Katie's pacifier and wearing Katie's blanket. Not sure if Katie is gullible or Charlotte is an evil genius. Maybe a bit of both.

Ah, sweet binky...mommy only lets her have it in bed. Notice the second binky in her hand. Just in case LaLa steals one.

She is funny and goofy and silly and loves to make everyone laugh, especially Charlotte. She misses Charlotte if you split them up and will point to her seat and shrug her shoulders, wanting to know where she is.

Funniest picture of Katie. Ever.

She is my darling Katie-girl. And as different as she is from her sister in some ways, in so many ways they are the same. They are both smart, beautiful, good girls.

And she too is perfect.

Yes - both of your girls are perfect and adorable. I love how you describe their individual personality traits.

Was the picture of Katie eating the lemon taken at Henry's in Cape May? Cape May is our favorite place in NJ and we go every year for two weeks at the end of the summer and Henry's is one of our favorite restaurants!

Such a sweet post...love it as much as LaLa's! Your last little section, where you called her 'Katie-girl' reminded me of a book my little girl has. It's by Tim Mcgraw and it's titled 'My Little Girl' and the little girl in the book is named Katie and he calls her...you guessed it....Katie Girl! Wow, didn't realize how many times I used 'little girl' in this comment...sorry!
