I keep trying to write a post but it just hasn't been happening. I've been lucky to get a shower this week, forget having coherent thoughts and writing them down.
Last week was a good week. The girls still had remnants of the never ending cold but it seemed to finally be getting better. We had a few nice days where I took the girls to the park and they were in heaven. It was a nice St. Patrick's Day. I was able to get my hair cut and colored. Friday was the first day of spring (and my birthday but I'm trying to block that out.) I felt like I could finally see the light at the end of the long winter tunnel....
Everyone knows the corny joke about the light...... yes, it was definitely a train heading straight for us.
Charlotte got really sick, really fast. Katie also is sick but not as bad... though hers started after LaLa's so of course now that Charlotte is starting to be a little better Katie is a disaster. Just to prolong the agony.
Almost every day something happens that I think, no one tells you about this when it comes to having children.....
that winter suddenly seems ten times longer than it ever did before.
that a cold can last for weeks. And weeks.
how fast things can go from "It's just a little cold." to "I think she has a fever..." to "Do you think we should go to the ER?"
that it's nearly impossible to get a screaming, freaked out toddler to let you hold a nebulizer mask up to her face.
that when a small child has a coughing fit, said coughing fit frequently ends in vomiting. LOTS of vomiting.
that you will feel so badly for your sick, crying baby you won't be able to stop crying yourself.
I'm not even going to try and predict what's next. Who knows?? It's a crapshoot. Spring weather and healthy babies? Snow in April and the girls get the Bird Flu? A rare tornado crashes through NJ and my kids get rabies? Anything seems possible.
You have to laugh.... well no, you don't. But you have to try.

I'm right there with you. This has been a particularly bad year for sickness, even from what I remember from my older kids. My girls spent the entire months of October, December, and February sick as dogs and we basically never left the house. In between months, there were still sniffles and random stomach flus.
I'm scared to death of April. I'm at the end of my rope dealing with baby sickness, and if the pattern holds, they will be sick all of April. ACK!
It's grey, cold, and rainy here... still. I am beginning to think that spring will actually never come. Ever.
Awww! Hang in there! Hope everyone is healthy soon...and trying my best to send some nice Florida weather your way. ;)
my son had been sick forever too....he just can't shake it?!
hang in there.....the weather has to warm up soon......right???

My little boy has been sick alot this winter too. I hope that Charlotte and Katie are both feeling better soon. Hopefully warmer weather equates less sickness and warm weather should be on the way, right?
Thanks for sharing your babies with us!
Hugs from Tennessee!
Oh yuck! I'm so sorry. Poor girls, poor mommy!
Oh man, that is rough. So sorry to hear about it and, not knowing the nebulizer story, the first 4 times with our son were AWFUL and now he runs over when we get the machine out because he knows he gets to watch the Wiggles. Good luck.
<3 sorry the ladies haven't been well. I hope this next week is better :)
ugh! I hope the girls feel better soon!
Like Kitty Laird ^ mentioned, our Youngest Boy also freaked the first few times we had to use the nebulizer but now doesn't mind since he gets to watch something special OR be held exclusively. Good luck with that!
And go get yourself some pretty flowers. Always works for me!
ug.. I'm so sorry to hear you're having a crappy time lately. I hope sickness leaves your house and stays out!
