Time flies

Six months... where did six months go? Where are my little tiny 3 1/2 lb babies? It seems like the blink of an eye since I was big and pregnant and nervously waiting for my three little miracles.

I am too tired tonight to do a proper 6 month entry, I will definitely get to it over the weekend. We took some very cute pictures of the girls today, and I have all their stats from the pediatrician (they're officially HUGE). I just need to write it all out.

Speaking of the pediatrician, it's been a long week. The girls do NOT do too well after their vaccines, every single time. They got them on Tuesday, had a small fever Wednesday but were generally crabby Tuesday night through yesterday night. Plus we were told to stop giving them Neosure (I'm assuming due to their HUGENESS) but that has been a fiasco. I tried giving them half Neosure, half Organic Similac to ease them into it. UGH. Both girls had terrible stomach problems, gassy, burpy, constipated, crying inconsolably. So we're back on the Neosure for now, until they feel better. Then I'm going to try Similac Sensitive formula and see how that goes.

So it has been a rough week, but a good one too, all things considered. I am still dealing with the aftermath of our CHoP trip, but it's getting better. Every day I feel more and more like I'm glad I went.

Yesterday was BEAUTIFUL, so we walked over to visit Jack and bring him a butterfly balloon we'd brought back from CHoP on Sunday. The girls seemed baffled by sunshine, I don't think they've ever seen it before....

Here's some pics from this week.... six month pictures still to come!

Charlotte the Starlet, as we like to call her:

Out for our walk, Katie trying out the shades this time:

They look thrilled, don't they? I think they unfortunately may have inherited my disdain for the outdoors. If there isn't a beach involved, I'd rather be inside.....

They did look awfully cute though! When did Katie get these CHEEKS??

OMG they are adorable. Those chubby cheeks are too much. My girls don't seem to like the sun much either. They turned 11 months today (I meant to do a post, and instead I read blogs and watched a movie...oh well). But at least yours will wear their sunglasses, mine just tear them off their heads the second I let go. Anyway, they're ridiculously cute.

I have followed your story, and have been living my own "battle" since November when my little guy was born. I always mean to comment but never know what to say. That Alicia Keys song has a special meaning for me too because it came out around the time Noah was in the NICU...when I originally heard it it brought me comfort and still does. I blog too ( survivingnoah.blogspot.com) . Thanks for sharing your life, you have a lot to offer the world with your wisdom from this tragic lesson learned. Your girls are adorable and getting so big- your family has a bright future!

The girls are awesome! The neosure did not sit well with my twins. We had to use the Similac isomil advance. I read your blog everyday and truly admire the woman you are! Your family is beautiful. You are always in my thoughts!

They are so so CUTE! I love reading your blog as your kiddos are just a couple of weeks ahead of mine.
About the formula issue you are having---I have been told to give every change 4 days. We just switched from Similac Sensitive to Similac Advanced (eventually I want to try the Costco generic brand...trying to save a little money!). It took them about 5 good days to make the switch. Just thought I'd add my two cents :-)
Have a great weekend

They are beautiful - those lips! There is something about them that gives off an impish fun vibe. I think you all are in for a wild and happy time with these two.

They are so cute. Happy 6 months girls. I have to ask how did you get that bow to stay in her hair. My baby does not have a lot of hair and I am dying for her to wear bows without those bands all the way around her head!

Absolutely adorable! Good luck with the formula. My singleton, Cole, had a terrible time and we eventually put him on Similac's Soy Formula, Isomil Advance. He loves it! Good luck!

Love the picture of Charlotte hamming it up for the camera. She's going to be a handful!

And the cheeks dripping off of Katie's face. I'd have to take a bite out of those.
